Argy Bargy

Hello Friends,

Exciting new developments have been taking place over the Easter holidays. Along with some like minded musician friends, we have set up our own teaching and rehearsal studio! ‘The Barge’ music studio is situated in our sunny home town of Weymouth, but a five minute stroll from the seafront. A range of lessons and workshops are available, including piano, drums, flute, ukulele and singing lessons. Workshops include drum circles, band coaching, uke troupes and theory groups. We have been rehearsing regularly and love the acoustics and the dedicated musical space. We will be uploading some new videos soon, all filmed at ‘The Barge’ so you can take a sneak peak! The website is currently under construction, but you can like find out more on facebook: https://www.facebook.com/messages/818500600#!/TheBargeMusicStudio

We played the Werid Wonderful World of Weddings fair in Bristol last weekend, in the @Bristol science museum. We entertained and chatted to lots of lovely bride and grooms to be, all of whom were looking for something a little different for their big day. In between sets we were able to explore (and play with) lots of the amazing scientific installations. We have some ridiculous pictures to follow, but my favourite moments included looking around the Aardman Wallace and Gromit exhibition and watching Stacey take a run in a giant hamster wheel! Much fun!

Last bit of important news – have a gig on Saturday night at the Royal Oak on the harbourside, starting from about 9pm- we hope to see plenty of you there. We can’t wait! xx

About tiltherewasuke

Take two music loving ladies. Brew a friendship for twelve years. Add a quirky instrument. Stir in an idea. Leave to stand for a couple of months. You should be left with a duo who call themselves 'Til There Was Uke. A Vocal/Ukulele duo featuring Lucy Broddle on Ukulele and Stacey Rae Hobday on Lead Vocals. With our blend of original arrangements, whistle solos, creatively inspired looks and attention to detail we hope to entertain our audience with a mixture of well know and long forgotten classic tunes that have been administered with the TTWUke treatment! That treatment takes many guises and ranges from an old school Greenday standard with a time signiature change twist to an Amy Winehouse number sprinkled with a latin feel.
